Mug Cakes to the Rescue!
I usually teach Saturday mornings and I often come home to a house full of pancakes or waffles, sausage, and Nutella. My kids are obsessed with Nutella - I think I should buy stock. Hee hee.
I know if I eat that breakfast, I will feel really sluggish the rest of the day. I want to start my day with a little more energy than that type of food gives me and I know it doesn’t help the light feeling I’m trying to maintain in my competition dress, either.
A lot of times, I have a minute to make eggs and some veggies and potatoes and sit down and enjoy a hot cup of coffee and enjoy one of my favorites, but sometimes I have to be running off to bring the kids to clarinet or swimming and I just have time to make something quick.

After dinner, it’s a good night when I get to finally sit down in my cozy basement and read a book (or write a blog post!) and relax. However, sometimes I find myself still a bit hungry and craving that sweet dessert that seems to be a habit in my life.
My kids are clamoring for whatever treats they have their eyes set on, but I usually want something more substantial than that.

Sometimes on the weekends - I just CAN’T with making myself lunch. It ends up being 3 pm and I realized I didn’t eat and I am hangry and I just want to grab a granola bar and be done with it while I’m trying to just get stuff done around the house. In the summer, I’ll blend up a smoothie and drink on the go, but in February on a cold snowy day, that just doesn’t hit the spot.

These cakes are filled with protein and fiber. They are not loaded with sugar and a bunch of chemicals (though the ingredient list in Shakeology has a whole bunch of crazy plants and nutrients that are cool to say). I can feel GOOD about eating these little cakes from the soul to the gut. And you can too!
You can get the recipe guide sent to you here. I can’t wait for you to mix them up and enjoy them whenever it works for you!
